The trip was quick and easy, and we were there in no time. Unloading was easy thanks to the Science Fair volunteers, and the only challenge was bringing our luggage (but not our projects!) up a few flights of the stairs for some of us. The rooms had a few issues with lights (a lot of burned out light bulbs!), though they didn't really deserve the "run-down closet" nickname given by Andy :)
Once we arrived and settled in, it was off to a nice dinner. After that some of the team took a walk around our surroundings in the Trent Campus - a very nice area with a lot of green space.
We also investigated the "Finalist Lounges" - unfortunately for some, no video games... but a good time for people to get to know each other a bit, and also meet some students from other parts of the country. After that, energy levels were running out, so time for bed and to prepare for a week of early wake up calls! Tomorrow is project set-up day, followed by the Opening Banquet.
